Astrology: Solar Eclipse Sunday

As Sunday's Solar Eclipse approaches, reprinted is the Solar Eclipse post of November 14, 2012, all of which pertains to tomorrow's eclipse, including even more transits in Scorpio (4 instead of 3).
With the solar eclipse passing, Northern Lights will continue to fill the skies with increased solar activity until December 21.  Because of the total eclipse, plant your seeds now in the next two weeks to prepare for the kind of personal harvest significant to you alone, which will help bring about its manifestation in the next six months. (To read more about this, check out my previous posts.)
Meanwhile, with three planets in Scorpio, this can be a time for deep thoughts and feelings, for monetary gain, or at its worst -- manipulation, power struggles, predatory games.  Be careful of even the most well-intentioned acquaintances, as well as strangers, and listen to your inner voice even more than usual. (Note: If you suspect abuse in any of your relationships, or if you tend to be kind and giving, or to feel sorry for others (generally positive traits, but potentially dangerous at times) please read Gavin de Becker's The Gift of Fear.)
Concurrently, all of us continue to cope with the same Uranus-Pluto square while the moon in Sagittarius and other fire planets could cause flare-ups of anger, as well as laughter, dancing, and/or lively social gatherings.  You could also accomplish a great deal with these transits.
And again, while you are busy living your life, don't forget to stop for a moment to toss those seeds into the night ground, preparing for the future you want.

Astrology: Lunar Eclipse -- Danger & Opportunity

The eclipse later in the afternoon (North American Time) of the 18th is powerful. As with other eclipses, it will have aftereffects (in this case, considering the energy involved -- "aftershocks") if it is not handled calmly and wisely.  The Sun in Libra and Full Moon in Aries are opposed, which is clashing energy.  Both form a square (more harsh energy) with Jupiter in Cancer.  Also, Mercury and Saturn in Scorpio are conjunct.  Watch out for angry drivers switching lanes and darting in front, possibly causing an accident; and for unreasonable as well as stealthy, plotting acquaintances, landlords, or other "authority" figures.  If you are aware of this energy around us and proceed cautiously (Libra, Scorpio) and bravely (Aries), you may outwit, or at least escape the brunt of this eclipse.
Cancer is home, family, nurturing. Take care of yourself, as well as those you care about. Also, the Aries full moon eclipse epitomizes adventure/exploring new ways of being in the world.  You may find yourself thinking about this, and changing, well after this eclipse has passed.  You may begin to nurture talents you have long had but left lie dormant, or transform your relationships or appearance.

Astrology: No Need to Explain

Today Mars and the Moon are still squared in Scorpio, which means continuing tensions. But most of us will not feel as overtaxed as recently.
Now Venus has moved from Scorpio to Sagittarius where the moon will also egress by tomorrow. This will also help alleviate recent tension, particularly that afflicting fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio).
But Mercury and Saturn are still conjunct in Scorpio.  This means power struggles, particularly expressed through incisive communication that can be difficult and demeaning.
It is best to try to hold onto your own power and step away (Sagittarius) from those who try to incite any kind of struggle (Scorpio). It is not necessary to explain or qualify (Mercury) your actions (Mars) to authorities (Saturn) or others who prefer conformity to the way they think things "should be."
To try to convince those who are inflexible could only bring additional frustration when you've already been stretched beyond limit.
Sagittarius invites releasing energy in athletic activity.  It's easier to laugh when Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius lightens spirits. The constellation Sagittarius also symbolizes looking at events from the perspective of a philosopher, or of one's higher self.

Astrology: Libra Smooths Harsh Angles

The Moon is in Scorpio again, potentially angry and headstrong. (I've mentioned moon in Scorpio previously - 5/23/13, 8/11/13, 1/16/12). At least this isn't a full moon.
The moon (as I've mentioned) represents emotion.
In addition, Saturn in Scorpio continues to square Mars in Leo: a harsh aspect.
Arguments, especially unresolved situations, can quickly crop up.  Personally and professionally, watch out for manipulation and power struggles.
If you have planets in Leo and Scorpio at early degrees, as I have, or harshly aspecting (squaring or opposing) these two signs, you may feel considerable pressure or be the recipient of anger from others.
In general, Saturn says "stop" or at least "slow down." Mars says "go."  Saturn is stern responsibility and Mars is action. This creates frustration for everyone.  Watch out for enraged drivers and acquaintances.
Check to see where Leo and Scorpio appear in your personal chart -- in which houses and what those houses represent.
The upside is that both Mercury (communication) and Venus (love) are in Libra (relationships, getting along) at least for the next two days until Wednesday/Thursday (depending on where you are on the globe) when Venus will join Saturn in Scorpio -- a difficult planetary square for relationships and partnerships from personal to business.
At least the moon will have moved as well -- out of Scorpio and into affable Sagittarius, if only temporarily until Friday.

(If you would like to discuss these or any other issues, see my contact information.)

Astrology: Power Struggles, Rage

Under this sky, there is more than the potential for conflicts and power struggles.  Scorpio prevails in Mercury, a wide conjunct to Venus as well as Saturn in Scorpio Quincux Jupiter in Gemini. This much Scorpio can mean power plays, revenge, and venomous words.  This presents the possibility of sudden, unexpected conflicts erupting and continuing planet-wide, as well as personally with friends, family, or strangers who (consciously or subconsciously) incite arguments and power struggle when you least expect.
At the same time, the continuing square between Pluto and Uranus (in Aries) is another red flag to watch for.  Try to stay out of the field of others' drama, if you can.  If you're in the middle of it, it's better to walk away.  On the level of the collective unconscious, anger is prevalent.  There are better things to do with our energy (Sun in Sagittarius) and Jupiter in Gemini (clever thoughts and words) than become entrenched in others' games.  Dance, sing, decorate, paint, write, talk about non-contentious subjects.
Besides, the Moon in Cancer and Neptune in Pisces could lead us to feel despondent, even to grief, or at least -- to put ourselves down, blaming ourselves, or demeaning ourselves in the wake of all the anger and tension in the air. This makes it imperative that energy is positively channeled.
Finally, there is an ADD-like frenzy in the air with Sun opposed Jupiter,  and a tendency to feel overwhelmed by holiday preparations, or -- in affluent Capitalistic countries -- shopping.  Try to slow down, organize, keep it simple, and avoid being the target of angry drivers or shoppers.
