An unexpected wild card burst onto the ice last night, upsetting Olympic expectations for Women's Figure Skating. This sudden, unexpected event is illustrative of Uranus in Aries, one of three angles comprising the current Cardinal T-Square, bringing tension into most lives.
Whether this tension is positive or negative is also uncertain. Jupiter in Cancer as part of the equation softens and helps protect the harsh edge of Uranus in Aries and intractability of Pluto in Capricorn.
And like Jupiter in Cancer, the response was more genial than the anger that could come if Mars had already moved into Scorpio (as it soon will). (That would have been Nancy Kerrigan and Tanya Harding energy).
Instead, with both the Sun and Neptune in Pisces, there were more tears than jeers, with the exception of European booing US stereotypes (more about this in another post).
The gold medal winner, first for a Russian in Women's Figure Skating, received two Uranus upsets: first when the winner overshadowed the expected Russian winner by swooping onto the ice like a winged eagle; and again by technical achievements (Mercury: Aquarius) that, at the conclusion, outnumbered the mastery and artistry of the reigning South Korean gold medalist. This powerful flight across the ice was an image of Moon in Scorpio (see previous Moon posts -- insert to the right).
And all of it illustrated Uranus. This is how unexpectedly and suddenly Uranus behaves, particularly in Aries, continuing to Square Pluto in Capricorn's status quo.
It helps to know where the T-Square affects your chart and those close to you: know where Uranus in Aries can bring sudden change and where you may be protected by Jupiter in Cancer. For a chart or reading, see my contact info. above.
