Astrology: Sun Libra, Geomagnetic Storms, Increased Auroras

The Autumn Equinox, which occurred on the 22nd, will bring an increase in geomagnetic storms  Autumn brings unexpected atmospheric surprises.  The sun still rises and sets quickly for awhile following the equinox (See previous post), and there is an increase in geomagnetic storms in fall, which means increased aurora activity. (See top link on the right.)
The Sun has moved into Libra. This means both Sun and Mercury are presently in Libra, which adds peace to the overall zeitgeist. Libra, like Gemini, is an air sign that tends to be social, interesting, and fun-loving, but can also be indecisive. It is not a time for big decisions, but for diplomacy, for discussing ideas, for getting together with others to laugh and relax as we have a temporary break from some of the harsh aspects of the past few weeks.

Gemini is a sign of expression, of writing as well as lively conversation.  With Moon in Gemini and planets in Libra, it is an excellent time to start keeping a journal, or to write the book you've been postponing.
Sharing ideas, as well as writing them down, has been proven to be an effective way of problem solving.  The expression "I write to discover what I'm thinking" has been echoed by many authors and journal-keepers, as well as by researchers who have studied writing's affect on the brain.
Libra, on the other hand, is culture, art and music. It is also refinement and beauty -- in presence as well as expression. Libra does well listening to or creating music (One never knows when it will be a success: as Alabama Shakes and countless others have discovered, never expecting their outstanding success).
In addition, Uranus is still in Pisces which continues to emphasize creativity of all kinds. Painting, even if you think you're not an artist, is another way of accessing how we really feel, and also keeps us in the moment while reducing anxiety and expanding the hippocampus.
Because there is still a harsh square between Mars and Venus, and between Uranus and Pluto (which can make maintaining harmonious relationships stressful), keeping social connections light and harmonious with creative expression (laughing, singing, dancing) is even more imperative.
