Misfit" usually has a negative connotation. Do you call yourself a misfit (because you don't fit the norm), or someone who has heard their own internal drum, and followed the drumbeat of their own life? If you don't have a "normal" lifestyle (say, you're 40 or 50 and single for whatever reason (divorced, never married, or whatever), or have children, or don't have children, does that make you a misfit, or a person who has followed their own drummer?
