Astrology:Grand Cross: "Under Pressure"

It has been a difficult time for many. As I mentioned in my June 10th post, we have been reeling from sometimes vicious Mars in Scorpio, as well as feeling the early effects of a Mutable Grand Cross, which is now full upon us.
This Grand Cross occurs in a sky that is already emotional: not only the love-pain water combination of Mars in Scorpio, but also Neptune in Pisces and Venus in Moon-Child Cancer.
Add to this the Grand Cross overwhelm and confusion of Jupiter in Virgo (abundant details and perfectionism); Mercury in Gemini (increasing Virgo's mental activity, generating so many disparate ADD-like ideas, it's difficult to "wrap the mind around" them).
Then there's Saturn in Sagittarius (Saturn is at odds in Sagittarius, trying to pull the reigns and weigh down Sagittarius' galloping stallion), and finally, there's Neptune in Pisces (Illusion, Misperceptions, Misunderstandings).  That old David Bowie/Queen song (& lyrics) "Under Pressure" describes it well.

Good Time to Start Your Own Blog

For those who have asked about starting your own website or blog, there are several options.
You could use Blogger, which this is, or go to websitetooltester.com to compare your choices.
It's a good time to begin with beautiful Libra and organized Virgo transiting.

All Earth & a Leo Sun Personality

An acquaintance of mine doesn't like music. Or art. I can't understand this. His tastes are the exact opposite of mine.
He doesn't care about nature or beauty and is content with junk yards and cement streets.
When trees are chopped down, I'm devastated. He's oblivious and doesn't even notice their absence.
He seems like someone who would like music and nature, so his indifference to anything aesthetic puzzled me until I looked at his planets.
He is almost all earth -- mostly Virgo, some Taurus (no water, no air) and a lone fire Sun in Leo.
Not that all earth signs, or Virgos for that matter, aren't aesthetic. But all that earth without water or air inclines him to be more mechanical, which he is, and also ingenious at design, coming up with unique constructions he makes himself.
Taurus and Leo can be creative. But Taurus especially usually likes music and is even musically inclined.
This man says once someone gave him tickets to a piano concert, but that he liked it more because people wondered why he and his date were the only people in the front section than because of the music. (Leo Sun likes to be noticed.) Leo Sun signs often become entertainers.
His Leo Sun also explains his anger, which he controls with all that earth. Holding the anger in and seething because of his Leo Sun explains his heart problems.

Astrology: Sports Scandal Scorpio

I've written several posts about athletes, including a few on the ongoing baseball scandal.
The suspension Monday of baseball star Ryan Braun is the latest headline.
Two of my posts on this blog, of 1/5/12 in particular, discuss this athlete's chart and the complicated subject of banned substances and sports.
In the case of impressive athletes like the United States baseball phenom Ryan Braun, the disciplined Sun sign (last decant Scorpio (ie: Scorpio-Sag cusp) indicates a person with a great deal of discipline, as well as athletic prowess.
Unfortunately, Scorpios can have up and down lives, being loved and then turned on, and then adored again.  And in the court of public opinion, we usually judge a person and the judgment sticks.
The other post on this subject was on 6/5/12.
In the past few months, I've also written that what is hidden is being revealed.
All of this is culminating now with still more athletes facing suspension, including notorious Alex Rodriguez. At the very most, suspensions, if at all, were not expected until the season's conclusion. The harsh, sudden nature of a mid-season suspension is in line with current inharmonious transits, as I've discussed in recent posts.

Astrology correctly predicts future

Ryan Braun, US baseball star, has won the first major league appeal of a drug suspension.
In early January I predicted that he would be exonerated of the false drug test, as has now been announced. I made this prediction after analyzing his astrological chart.
Here is a reprint of my January 5th post:

Astrology, Reputation, Sports, Steroids
Has your favorite sport hero been accused of using performance drugs?Do you believe it? From Tour de France winners to football heroes, we never know when the chosen favorite will quickly fall from a pedestal simply for being accused -- not for being found guilty, which is often difficult, even impossible, to do.We can look at a person's chart to detect the possibility of steroid or other performance enhancement. Does the Sun sign indicate a person who is, by nature of his/her natal sign disciplined? Is Virgo prominent in the chart and/or at least aligned with a significant planet? Where is Saturn? In the case of impressive athletes like the United States baseball phenom Ryan Braun, the disciplined Sun sign (last decant Scorpio (ie: Scorpio-Sag cusp) indicates a person with a great deal of discipline, as well as athletic prowess. In Braun's case, Saturn is also in Scorpio, again aligning the individual with discipline and control. Although Scorpios tend to live on the edge and be drawn to dark places, he also has Mars in Virgo, indicating that he cares about his health although Virgo could make him feel critical of his own athletic prowess.Venus in Libra would bring balance to his character, a desire for justice, for keeping things right. So although it is possible that this particular athlete may have, out of Virgo insecurity, indulged in some kind of body strengthening (possibly testosterone compounds), it is unlikely he would have used steroids, which are destructive to the body, or that he would have partaken in any kind of extended performance enhancing.Unfortunately, Scorpios can have up and down lives, being loved and then turned on, and then adored again. And in the court of public opinion, we usually judge a person without proof, and the judgment sticks, often labeling a person for life. (Social psychology has proven that if people hear something enough times, whether from media or other people, they'll tend to believe it.)Astrology is complex, but possible to use to analyze a chart. In this way we can only guess. But realizing that we are all this complex, the analysis might reveal understanding, without judging, before an athlete's, or anyone's, reputation is ruined by repetition of what may well be untrue.
